At Own Design, each item is carefully crafted with love and attention to detail. As many of our products are custom-made, we have specific guidelines regarding returns and refunds:
Custom & Personalised Items
- Due to the custom nature of engraved wood, acrylic, and personalized designs, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind.
- Please ensure all spelling, colors, and design details are correct before confirming your order.
Damaged or Defective Items
- All our products are carefully inspected before dispatch. However, if your order arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 48 Hours of delivery
- Send clear photos of the item, packaging, and a brief description of the issue to info@owndesign.co.za.
- Please note:
- We do not offer cash refunds under any circumstances.
- We do not offer replacements in the form of a different item than the one originally ordered.
- If a replacement is approved, it will be for the same item and design as per the original order only.
- We reserve the right to assess each case and determine whether a replacement or store credit will be issued.
Non-Custom Items
- For non-personalised items, we accept returns within 3 days of delivery.
- Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and returned at the customer’s expense.
- Refunds will be issued once the item is received and inspected.
Refunds
- Refunds are only applicable to non-personalised items that are returned in their original, unused condition within 3 days of delivery.
- Once your return is received and approved, a refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 5–7 business days.
- Please note:
- Personalised or custom-made items are non-refundable.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error or a defective non-personalised item.
